Jody Watley says about her inspiration behind “PARADISE.” “Paradise is basically a party record created and inspired in classic soul dance records in many ways..a celebration of feel good music, with lyrics that make you feel like getting out, or turning up the volume in your car. Paradise is about living life and creating special moments today with music as the motivator, the backdrop. I’m very much about that – to remind people of that. There’s enough time to worry and other heavy things. In these songs I want everyone to feel a sense of escape and joy from beginning to end. Paradise is about the celebration of being alive and having a good time – especially for my core diehard fans who have been with me no matter what and no care that I’m older. They know I’m still fabulous and so are they!”

Of course, I also filmed the video for “Nightlife” at my favorite place to get dressed up, hang with friends, dance and remember to have fun and enjoy life at Bryan Rabin and Adam XII Presents: Giorgio’s on The Sunset Strip a couple of months ago. It’s In The Music!
Jody Watley and ‘NIGHTLIFE’ receive further exposure to a younger demographic as the original mix is currently added to the members only program of retailer Abercrombie & Fitch as a download for a limited time via special music license from Avitone, the single has also been added to Mood Media, so you just may just hear “NIGHTLIFE” in-store while out and about shopping or traveling.

“Nightlife” comes in at #3 “Breakout” Single on Billboard Magazine’s Hot Dance Club Play (chart publish date November 30, 2013). This is exciting news. What it means is that the single will make the full chart soon as it continues to garner support by DJ’s around the country – and keep the club kids twirling and fabulous on dance floors.
In the UK – expect a big leap on the Pop charts where the single debuted at #40 and another jump into the Top 5 Urban! More details to come. Thank you for continuing to spread the word and support the single. “It’s In The Music!”
