Dream. Believe. Do. Repeat..and don’t over think. Make it happen for yourself in life – live it! Create your environment of love.
The fabulous Ray Easmon from the United Kingdom was inspired by the blooms of Cherry Blossoms while he’s been in Asia. I mentioned it would be nice to add an infusion of color to the art and when he sent the updated ideas, this one won me over right away. It’s so beautiful, we may do a limited quantity of 7″ vinyl for collectors..stay tuned. As well, as soon as the Pre-order link is viewable in iTunes / Apple Music. it will be posted as well.
“Sanctuary” EP is now scheduled for an April 10 release and will include the original single version which has live bass and guitar as well the extended SoulPersona Raregrooves 12″ Remix and the accompanying instrumental.
The release is even more timely with all of the chaos and stress as a result of election results especially in America. The song serves as a reminder when life feels out of balance, overwhelming, one of the things we can control is our home environments.
“Paradise” ranks among Jody Watley’s best work. Filled with upbeat disco bangers and exquisite chilled house vibes, this album is simply drenched with hot summer grooves that will get your party started with a bang!” -ishtalk
“Nightlife” comes in at #3 “Breakout” Single on Billboard Magazine’s Hot Dance Club Play (chart publish date November 30, 2013). This is exciting news. What it means is that the single will make the full chart soon as it continues to garner support by DJ’s around the country – and keep the club kids twirling and fabulous on dance floors.
In the UK – expect a big leap on the Pop charts where the single debuted at #40 and another jump into the Top 5 Urban! More details to come. Thank you for continuing to spread the word and support the single. “It’s In The Music!”
We’re just getting started with the single. An official video, limited edition vinyl, remixes by Moto Blanco and Jodie Harsh being completed as I type. Initially, I wasn’t going to do remixes because I want everything about this to be ‘classic’. That said, these will service a broader club community while maintaining the integrity of the record. Of course, remixes have always been a part of my repertoire. I’ll also be doing a bit more promotion while remaining selective. I’ve been asked if “Nightlife” is a part of an album or EP – it is a part of my forthcoming “Paradise” which will be released early 2014. All shares on your social media outlets, blogs and word of mouth mean the world. Let’s show the corporations and media know that classic quality music remains vibrant and strong – like an artist / songwriter / producer me! Thank you.

My Saturday night at Giorgio’s was truly a night to remember. Meeting the legendary Giorgio Moroder was like a dream. Dancing to his songs and productions as a teen including one of my favorite soundtracks “Midnight Express” – “From Here to Eternity”, not to mention his groundbreaking work with Donna Summer along with his production and writing partner Pete Bellotte. He and his wife Francisca were relaxed and friendly, as Giorgio’s Bryan Rabin too me over for the introduction quickly prompting me to ask “Do you mind if we take a photo”, after hello’s were exchanged. You can say that I’m never too cool for school to be enthusiastic and show that I’m a fan of the people I admire and enjoy as well.
