Really appreciate the early support of U.K. Soul radio and music blogs supporting independent artists. Special thank you to Alex Di Cio’ who really nudged me with his remixes and encouragement.
Thank you to those of you downloading, listening, playlisting and sharing with your friends.
This is quality music without the machine, industry gate keepers or corporate partners – as I’ve been doing since 95.

July/August 1988 new magazine at the time INFashion Photography and Makeup by Paul Gobel. Hair: by Ernie Banales loved the fresh flowers and working with Paul and Ernie both trailblazers and wonderful kind people gone too soon :: Dress by Krizia Interview with David Keeps Cover Story/Feature :: .. after seeing the beautiful and monumental fall covers 2018 for Vogue and British Vogue with Beyonce and Rihanna respectively it reminded me of this classic session done many moons ago – timeless! Proud of how the ladies have been able to go next level!
If you can zoom in this was a really good interview with David Keeps who noted I was my own stylists..a distinction I have from many artists.
We have SOLD OUT of the first run of “PARADISE” CD’S!!! The response is overwhelming, and a new order is in for another round. The other items are also finding their way into shopping carts to represent Jody Watley. The CD also has a nice surprise (well not now since I’m telling you) of the song ‘Everlasting’ written by longtime collaborator Rodney Lee and I.
On my Twitter feed, most music blogs are as usual more focused on who was arrested this week, reality stars, etc. Meanwhile – I give to you a glamorous and positive bit of music in this crazy world. Admittedly, I’ve shed a few tears this week pondering world events, violent conflicts, teenage suicides due to online bullying and humiliation (Matthew Burdette RIP), the MH17 plane that was shot down with all of the innocent people, families, children off for summer visits with relatives, vacations.. the girls in Nigeria who remain kidnapped and out of the headlines, Eric Garner being killed for no apparent reason by the NYPD, abuse and rapes of young girls in India, the violence in Chicago and on and on etc…my heart gets really heavy.
I hope this music can create a place of escape, solace, motivation, solace and joy for you, as much as it does for me – now more than ever. Truly for my diehard fans – worldwide. “PARADISE” is also now available for pre-order at iTunes everywhere. Thanks again.
