Being a part of the one time and unprecedented musical event ‘Loving The Silent Tears’ was one of the best and most rewarding experiences of my career. The process of meeting and getting to know the cast, our director Vincent Paterson (a dream come true I might add), choreographer Bonnie Story, designers, costumers, ensemble dancers – was amazing and so many new friendships were formed. Every element of this process was first class – top shelf all around. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have been a part of this global melting pot of artists and cast-mates.
The production opened with aerialists who flew through The Shrine captivating the audience as the orchestra led by our musical director Doug Katsaros playing a beautiful prelude and then we were off to a journey around the world woven into a powerful narrative and story line. I’ll be posting more photo’s and a short video of the journey I’ve enjoyed with the musical the past few weeks leading up to the October 27 for the premiere. Supreme Master TV shared the event globally and on the Loving The Silents Tears Musical website via live stream. Here are a few pics from last night; it truly was was a night and experience to remember!
About to step onto the red carpet like none I’ve experienced; lined with people in cultural outfits.

I went to 3 events this week, which must be a record for me (borderline recluse)! This was especially cool because I was able to see the man himself Francois Nars. We’d met in 1989 when he did the make-up for my second album ‘Larger Than Life’ photographed by Steven Meisel – I hadn’t seen or worked with him since. I’ve been a fan of his line and faithful customer since it launched in 1994.
The NARS Boutique at 8412 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles is minimalist and chic. Massive windows allow for natural light framed by mirrored walls; perfect for testing the large array of products and colors.

I believe we should always try to grow and evolve in all aspects of living. You might not always reach your goals, but that’s OK. The only failure is never trying. The point is you are trying to get somewhere beyond where you are, where you’ve already been or what you’ve accomplished. This applies to everyday life (mind, body and spirit) your career or even things like cooking, maintaining a garden, clearing clutter from your environment, fitness routine or whatever. Keep an open mind and seeker of knowledge. None of us are perfect, but uniquely equipped to be our own works of art in one way or another. Don’t get stuck in the box that others may want to keep you in and don’t create boxes of limitation for yourself. Keep it moving!
“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
‘If I’m Not In Love With You’, a Jody Watley dance floor burner from 1998. The #2 Hot Billboard Dance Play anthem would still be right at home in the clubs or on the airwaves with dance music finally crossing over into the mainstream commercial pop realm in the U.S. in recent years. To date Jody Watley has 13 #1 Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Singles and always at home on the dance-floor.
A few nightlife snapshots of charity event (it was humid and nearly 100 degrees) benefitting The Children’s Institute held at The London Hotel on the Rooftop at The London Hotel in West Hollywood. The evening event brought a touch of New York Fashion Week showcasing the Spring Summer Collection of J. Mendel.
