Stretch to retain flexibility..it’s also a good metaphor for living life.

Try to go without meat each Monday if you’re not already vegetarian or vegan. It’s good for you physically as well as helps you do a small part to help the environment. There are so many healthy options vegetables (I love roasted brussel  sprouts, with garlic, prepared with olive oil, your herb of choice, black pepper, a splash of lemon juice and for extra kick I use a few red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper..you can also add sweet potatoes or any of your choice), there are many kale dishes or if you like southern cuisine sauteed collards are good and full of nutrients. Look into bean dishes and soups, quinoa and so on. I’m always surprised as well when people say they don’t like water..add lemon, cucumber, lime etc..but water is also good for you and helps flush those kidneys.

As we head into 2020, I’m very much more focused wellness and putting others in that frame of mind. Through the years, I’ve always spoken about this in one way or another..released a best selling fitness video in the 90’s and fast forward to my single ‘Sanctuary’ all about creating personal spaces to promote peace and joy – too many walking around carrying stress. This is a way I’ll be using more of my social platform for – especially this blog.

Jody Watley Gets You In The Groove For The Holidays and Your Workout

 

Trying to keep you motivated and in tune to your wellness and health. One of the things I enjoy is a morning run or power walk and this playlist came out of what I was listening to personally. Being consistent on my workouts, eating healthy which has always been a part of my lifestyle. I’ve made adjustments with that as well and finally I’ve been able to shed some very stubborn lbs. from the past few years once my hormones took a shift. As always my desire is to inspire others through my own actions, creating this ‘Jody Watley – Workout Playlist’ is another way to pass a bit of motivation along. Even if you have 10 minutes a day to devote to your wellness — two songs, one remix, it’s a start and better than not doing anything. It was almost two decades ago when I released the Number 1 fitness video ‘Dance To Fitness’ – dance music is always a fantastic way to get your heart rate up and make any workout less arduous. Let’s get it.
