Some days are off days, difficult days..no rainbows to be found. Some days you may feel down on yourself for one reason or another – I have those days too. When I post positive pearls they aren’t just for you – they’re for me too just so you know. I’m not a plastic person, I’m human just like you. Keep your head up..that’s what I think and do so I’m sharing this quote image I came across as a reminder.
This is a post I shared on my Facebook and Instagram pages a couple of weeks ago. I intended to share it here with you that follow my blog posts – so here it is.
So..on my morning run I had the unfortunate moment where out of no where I was yelled at by a Caucasian woman “Dirty N—er, Fukin C–t” (not my first experience..that came when I was 9 first time I was called that) I stopped in my tracks laughed at her but then turned to run up to her as she kept walking – I almost caught a case lol – in that next moment I chose to keep it moving and continued myjog – it’s not what people call you, it’s what you answer to, that quote crossed my mind – I’ve lived in this area for over 15 years jogging in morning only encounters are occasional TMZ and paparazzi looking for “celebrities” most people say good morning or nothing at all– I came upon these beautiful vibrant flowers and stopped to take a photo. Being alive is a blessing no matter the troubles of the world and people. I still believe in love and beauty in this world in fact I’d just been thinking about “Affairs of the heart” and recorded a short message of inspiration to post –most humans are good and we have more similarities than differences a lot of the time — though there are bad apples of all kind -in the midst of so much hatred and some vile people..and also people dealing with mental health issues – stay focused. It’s real out here –people are also being empowered in this negative political environment … 🙏🏽✨#JodyWatley#ialmostcaughtacase#chooselove – ready to watch some NBA and college hoops now and enjoy the rest of my day – love to all ❤

I flew to Orlando again after being there a couple of weeks ago for SuperFreestyle Explosion Concert. This time was a private event at Hard Rock Live. Being with Rosero McCoy, John “Havic” Gregory and Wallace Butts of Avid Music Inc, we reflected on how long we’ve worked together (Rosero and I since 98, Havic since 2005, Wallace and I joke we were friends when Pyramids were built, horse and buggy-you get the picture) and have been such close friends. This is no easy feat in life.
When you have people in your life where you bring out the best in each other, laugh, and survive the ups and downs – cherish it and hold on to it!
It was a great surprise as well to have my likeness added to the famed The Palm restaurant. Here in Los Angeles it was a longtime family favorite of my son Arie, daughter Lauren and my Mom.
Jody Watley added to the famous wall at The Palm. Orlando.
Welcome dinner at The Palm Restaurant, Hard Rock Orlando. Excellent hotel and restaurant.

John “Havic” Gregory pulled this one up at lunch from our Sunset Junction Los Angeles performance. in 2006..my daughter Lauren is also pictured with one of her best friends Suna Haroon. Rosero intense and focused as always. We were also astounded that my daughter has not aged one bit.
