Consistent efforts in putting out false information and exploitation of my name Jody Watley, an established brand in itself in an ongoing effort to generate negativity towards me in the marketplace can not go on from my former group Shalamar, their team and fanbase.

The result is immeasurable in the impact upon me with ongoing online harassment, smear campaigns which extend behind the scenes with spreading of the false information. It’s unwarranted and unnecessary. I have endured this for far too long while simply continuing to live my life and tend to the ongoing business of being Jody Watley.

TV-one and the Unsung Shalamar special are also complicit in this situation by knowingly putting out false information years ago and with each repeated broadcast. The time has come for me to more fully address current ongoing lies, false narratives, a part of their smear campaign against me.
