Jody Watley and Shalamar Reloaded. Concert Review and Business of Music Conversation

Photo: (c) 2015 Avid Music Inc. Shalamar Reloaded. Jody Watley, Rosero McCoy, Nate Allen Smith

This is a must read concert review from The Roxy and conversation writer A. Scott Galloway and I had nearly a year ago regarding the Shalamar trademark and fast forward to forming a new group Shalamar Reloaded as we evolved from where we began – and as well as a business woman where I saw a bigger picture and the opportunity for us to start fresh without the negativity and baggage of the past which reared it’s ugly head. My initial actions were successful in putting an end to false and misleading ads, use of old photo’s which misused my likeness, etc. We don’t want to be the new version of a group that faded into obscurity and ended in 1990; we came to that conclusion after releasing ‘SlowDance’ and the beautifully filmed video. There are no replacements, imposter’s, wannabee’’s us starting fresh.

I’m always moving forward and always in the most positive most effective way I know how. Shalamar Reloaded continues to make noise. The next Shalamar Reloaded single O.R. I. G. IN.A.L is on the way – as we proceed.
