Jody Watley & SRL unveil the cover art by Los Angeles based artist Martin Lagirdam for the forthcoming new single “The Passion” mixed by legendary Italian remix producer Alex Di Cio  expected to arrive around July 20, 2018 to various digital outlets.

“The artwork is inspired by the sacred heart. As the core of our being, with the theme of the song being a passion for living and life coming alive through the music and our connections – it felt right to have a vibrant and colorful art piece like this to represent the vibe of the song as the music, love and passion descends upon the city. The flames represent setting your soul on fire with the music and the things that make you feel alive. This cover art is something a bit more unexpected and outside the box for us this time – bold and unexpected. I became a fan of Martin’s work after following him on Instagram after he created a custom t-shirt for me. The beauty of his work in particular many themes that reflected the heart really spoke to me for this single…as well is it could be a cool statement tattoo and iconic emblem for the group usually associated with rock bands. The single has some standout guitar work by former Prince & NPG member Levi Seacer.  I’ve connected with some incredible talent through social media and Martin is one. The logo’s were created by my longtime art director and collaborator the U.K. based Ray Easmon.” – Jody Watley
